SoonerCare is Oklahoma Medicaid, administered by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OKHCA). The program delivers Medicaid, Long-Term Care, and Essential Health Services to eligible Oklahoma residents through the Federal Medicaid Program with funding from the Federal Government and the Oklahoma State Government.
Our Program
SoonerCare includes the SoonerCare Choice program and the SoonerCare Health Management Program (HMP). The Primary Care Case Management Program connects members with Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to coordinate healthcare services and ongoing care.
Our Organization
The Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OKHCA) was established in February 1993. It works with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Iowa Foundation for Medical Care (IFMC). Leadership and administration include the Agency Administrator, Executive Director, Communications Manager, David Walters, and Melissa Richey.
